Norfolk Speaker’s Lunch with Dr Annie Grant
Wednesday 15th May 2024
“Them Dry Bones: Why archaeologists study animal bone remains and What they tell us about human behaviour in the past.”
Join the Army Benevolent Fund at The Norfolk Club for the Norfolk Speaker’s Lunch with Dr. Annie Grant. Dr Grant’s first involvement with archeology was when she was a young teenager and volunteered to help at an excavation being undertaken at a site close to her home. She continued to volunteer at other sites including: Fishbourne Roman Villa and Danebury Iron Age Hillfort during her school vacations. Annie then became increasingly interested in the finds recovered during excavations including, not only pottery and other artefacts, but in particular animal bones. She read for a degree in Archeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, where she was later awarded a Doctorate.
