To ensure the Platinum Jubilee weekend is as memorable as possible for some of our older veterans across the country, we are helping five of the care homes that we fund to create Jubilee celebrations.
Residents of Royal British Legion Industries in Kent, Broughton House in Salford, Erskine in Scotland, the Royal Star and Garter in the South East and West Midlands, and the Royal Cambridge in Surrey will be able to enjoy Jubilee parties complete with bespoke Jubilee-themed decorations and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity goody bags.

Brigadier (Ret’d) Peter Monteith, Chief of Staff at ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, said:
“We are delighted to help enable Platinum Jubilee celebrations for our elderly veterans, many of whom will have their own fond memories of Her Majesty as a young Princess and her Coronation in 1953.
“Our charity is honoured to have had Her Majesty The Queen as our Patron since 1953 and we pay tribute to her 70 years of service. Throughout the decades, her unwavering sense of duty and loyalty has been an inspiration to the whole Army family.”
