This year thanks to a grant given to Revitalise, a charity that provides respite care for disabled people by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, 120 disabled veterans will receive nursing supported holiday breaks.

The Soldiers’ Charity provides grants to around 80 other charities that supports soldiers, veterans and their immediate families, including Revitalise. This grant will enable those in the Army family that needs a respite break to call on Revitalise’s expert care.

Chris Simmonds, Chief Executive of Revitalise said: “We have enjoyed a relationship with The Soldiers’ Charity for many years. The funds donated enable hundreds of disabled ex-service personnel and their carers to take much-needed respite holidays at Revitalise’s three accessible centres each year.  The grant will help make significant changes to the quality of life for these members of the army community, offering them a lifeline from the daily pressures that giving and receiving care can bring.”
