On Tuesday 12 December, the Army Benevolent Fund hosted the annual Army Carol Service in the magnificent surroundings of The Wren chapel at the Royal Hospital Chelsea (RHC).

Guests enjoyed a traditional advent service of carols led by the RHC’s renowned chapel choir, one of the finest in the UK, accompanied by a piper from the Scots Guards and a fanfare team from The Band of the Welsh Guards. The Reverend Steven Brookes, Chaplain of the RHC, and The Reverend Michael Parker, Chaplain General and Archdeacon to the Army, led the prayers and the lessons.

Lieutenant General Sharon Nesmith, British Army Deputy Chief of the General Staff took part in the service, which also featured serving soldiers from The Royal Corps of Army Music, The Royal Logistic Corps, The Queen’s Royal Hussars, The Royal Engineers, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and The Coldstream Guards.

On behalf of our London Committee members, the ABF thanks the Royal Hospital Chelsea for again providing a wonderful venue and a highly enjoyable evening for our Army colleagues and supporters.
