Steve joined the Army in 1977 at the age of 17, and served with the Royal Artillery for 16 years. Following tours of Germany and Northern Ireland, he completed the Royal Marines Commando course in 1980 and fought in the Falklands conflict as part of 29 Commando Regiment.

Our charity provided funds towards a workshop to enable Steve to start wood carving, which helped him cope with PTSD.
