We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to X-Forces who have received the Employee Recognition Scheme Gold Award from HRH Prince Harry, and The Ministry of Defence today, Monday 9th October.
The ERS Gold Awards are the highest badge of honour for organisations who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and demonstrated outstanding support for those who serve and have served.
Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon said: “These companies have shown the gold standard of commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. They have taken meaningful steps to ensure the Defence community are not disadvantaged by the sacrifice they make in helping keep this country safe. The actions of these employers make it crystal clear that regardless of size, location, or sector, employing people with military skills is good for business.”
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity has been a great supporter of X-Forces since they were first established in 2013. In June of this year, we awarded X-Forces a £48,000 grant towards their workshop costs.
Robin Bacon, Chief of Staff, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity adds: “X-Forces thoroughly deserve this prestigious award for their amazing work with individuals setting up their businesses for the first time – they are true mentors.”
