On Remembrance Sunday, our Chairman Lieutenant General (Ret’d) Philip Jones will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and all the regimental and corps charities and associations.
The government-led Remembrance service at the Cenotaph will be welcomed back for 2021 after last year’s unfortunate cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The regimental and corps charities and associations will once again have the opportunity to attend the famous ceremony at the Cenotaph memorial.
This year, our charity’s Chairman, Lieutenant General (Ret’d) Philip Jones, will attend the ceremony and lay a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity as well as all the regimental and corps charities and associations. He says:
“On Remembrance Sunday we come together as a nation to commemorate the courage and sacrifice of those men and women of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces who died in the service of their country. To this purpose it is an honour to lay a wreath, not only on behalf of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity but also all the regimental and corps charities and associations.”
As the ceremony returns this year, allowing us to finally gather as one and take a moment to remember those who fought for our freedom, we would encourage people across the nation to join us in by either by watching the service or simply pausing for two-minute silence.
