Earlier this year we awarded more than £55,000 to Revitalise, a charity which specialises in creating respite holidays for disabled people and their carers. Our grant will go towards enabling 150 disabled Army veterans and their carers to enjoy a much-needed break away from home.
Revitalise has been around for 55 years and has the experience to go with it. The team provides everything you’d expect from a proper holiday, as well as the reassurance of excellent nurse-led care.
Chris Simmonds, Chief Executive Officer at Revitalise, talks about the importance of our charity’s continued support: “Revitalise is delighted to have been given another generous grant from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and is proud of the long-standing relationship which continues to support members of the Army family and their carers.
“For many of our guests and their loved ones, much needed respite can be a challenge. We passionately believe that everyone deserves and needs a break, and The Soldiers’ Charity’s generosity enables hundreds of ex-service personnel and their carers to enjoy respite at our three accessible centres every year.
“The grant is already helping us to provide support to members of the Army community and their loved ones, offering them the chance to enjoy a break in a relaxed, holiday-style environment, away from the stresses and strains of everyday life.”
